My husband and I invested in an all-natural latex mattress but it was slightly too hard… We knew it was a good mattress and super supportive but we felt like we needed a little bit of plush at the top. We hated the feather bed we tried first, so we decided to invest in this wool topper. It was pricey but the only one we could find (including the others on Overstock) that wasn’t treated with nasty chemicals. We had just spent $2400 on a mattress to avoid chemicals so it just didn’t make sense to put something treated on top. This mattress pad was the solution! It is just perfect. It felt so organic and natural when I took it out of the packaging and was just right to soften our bed. It is not super thick by any means, but it really did give our latex mattress a much better feel, and I feel good knowing we’re not breathing in any toxins. It’s pricey but worth it. Living in FL, we were a little worried it would make us too hot, but that’s not the case at all. It does seem like it keeps you cool when you need it to, and warm when you need it to.
