Our organic futons and toppers are made from natural cotton and wool fiber material. These organic materials get compressed under weight and pressure. To prevent migration of fibers within a futon or topper, our products are made of wool and cotton bats, instead of chunks. To keep your beddings even and ensure its longevity, rotate and flip your futon periodically.
The Chaumont Standard Couch Futon with Cotton is a Bio Sleep Concept original and is among our most popular futons. It is a versatile handcrafted futon that is designed for everyday use. At the center of this futon is a 2.5 inch 1.8 lbs 2 foot high foam core that provides resiliency and support. This core is wrapped in 4 inches of naturally luxurious cotton batting that is processed locally to our exacting standards. All of the materials are protected by a heavy outer shell that features double stitched seams and has boxed corners with top, bottom, and side panels.
The Chaumont Standard Couch Futon with Cotton is ideally suited to be used every day as a sofa or bed. The design of the core allows the futon to be folded in traditional couch futon frames but provides proper support to your neck and back when laid flat and used as a mattress.

- This futon is treated with a natural fire retardant (boric powder); not all Bio Sleep Concept futons require this treatment and this is clearly stated on the futons page.

This mattress is for a futon that won’t get a lot of use so I didn’t order a thicker, more expensive mattress. This one is very comfortable for occasional use, well made.
